Skanska AB (publ) is a leading construction and project development enterprise with operations spanning the Nordic region, wider Europe, and the United States. Its activities are organized into three core divisions: Construction, Residential Development, and Commercial Property Development. The Construction segment is responsible for erecting a diverse range of structures, including bridges, roads, ports, medical facilities, homes, and educational institutions. The Residential Development division focuses on conceptualizing and marketing residential projects, offering both single-family houses and multi-unit complexes. Conversely, the Commercial Property Development segment manages the complete lifecycle of commercial properties, from their initial investment and development to leasing and eventual divestment. Beyond these services, Skanska also manufactures vital construction materials such as asphalt, various grades of gravel and rock, and concrete products, including macadam for road construction. Additionally, the company provides building renovation, comprehensive infrastructure services (covering operation, maintenance, and new builds), specialized stone preservation, and the rental of machinery and equipment. Established in 1887, Skanska AB (publ) is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.
